Class Name	Class Description
Introduction to Handguns	Come enjoy a three hour class in a SAFE and COMFORTABLE environment. We’ll be covering a multitude of topics including Firearm Safety Rules, Safe Gun Handling, Types of Handguns, Gun Selection, Care & Cleaning, and much more. You don’t need to own a gun to come to this class. This is a great class to get under your belt before buying a gun. If you already own a gun, we’re going to give you the knowledge to be SAFE with it. This is a fundamental class…  Our goal is to help you build a solid foundation of knowledge on which you can safely and comfortably own a handgun. $45 for two people with advance registration. $55 at the door. We offer this class each month.
Fundamentals of Marksmanship for Handguns	We start with a review of Firearm Safety Rules & Safe Gun Handling (we do this a lot). Next we'll introduce various stances, grip techniques, trigger control, sighting & aiming, and more. We'll also introduce the Dry Practice concept and associated safety concerns. This class leaves the student with an understanding of proper techniques to begin shooting well. Registration & class held at Lakeshore Bait & Tackle. $45 per person for continuing students. $55 per person for first time student.
Semi-Auto Pistol Operation	Building on the success of our Intro to Handguns and Fundamentals of Marksmanship classes, this class takes an in depth look at how the pistol operates, how it malfunctions, and how to deal with the firearm when it fails to work as expected. This class will include a hands-on session where the student will learn to operate the firearm to clear a series of malfunctions efficiently. Completion of our Introduction to Handguns class (or similar formal training) is prerequisite for this class. Registration & class held at Lakeshore Bait & Tackle. $55 per person with advance registration (required due to limited class size).
Handgun Care & Cleaning	This course will teach the handgun owner how to clear, field strip, clean, assemble, and function test their own gun under the direction and supervision of our trained staff. This class size is limited to only SIX students. NO AMMUNITION IS ALLOWED INTO CLASSROOM. Firearms are cleared by an instructor prior to entry into store. Registration & class held at Lakeshore Bait & Tackle. Register early - space is limited. $55 per person with advance registration (required due to limited class size).
Women's Personal Safety	Awareness, instinct, and mindset are the skills that work together keep a person safe. We'll introduce the student to all three key skills in detail. This is not a martial arts or self defense class, but rather instruction from Law Enforcement professionals on how to avoid being victimized. This class is a MUST for women off all ages (and men, too). $25 per person with advance registration. $35 per person at the door.
Hunter Education	The Hunter Ed/Hunter Safety class is required to get a California Hunting License. We offer this class approximately quarterly. DFG Game Warden Mike Pascoe will be teaching the FIVE SESSION class in November.  Register for class at Lakeshore Bait & Tackle in Clearlake. Location of class is Brick Hall in Lower Lake.
